Nox Arcana é um projecto de darkwave dos USA.O nome da banda Nox Arcana é derivado de duas palavras em latim, que se traduzem em cerca de "mistérios da noite." É um grande interesse na tradição antiga, a literatura de horror gótico e clássico, que une esses dois compositores, Joseph Vargo e William Piotrowski, na sua busca interminável em reinos sombrios e perigosos. soundtracks gótico da banda são frequentemente utilizadas em filmes independentes, em parques temáticos durante o Halloween, e para role-playing games.O álbum de estréia, Darklore Manor, foi caracterizado como a partitura de uma televisão especial do filme mudo clássico de 1922, Nosferatu, e gerou um livro de histórias de terror original, The Legend of Darklore Manor and Other Tales of Terror.De acordo com os seus interesses literários,sao mestres em pagar o tributo macabro para muitos dos seus autores favoritos.O álbum sedutor "Transylvania"leva a aventuras para a terra dos vampiros do Drácula de Bram Stoker . O sinistro"Necronomicon" é um som em homenagem de Nox Arcana para HP Lovecraft.A mórbida e melancolica"Shadow of the Raven" presta homenagem ao grande Edgar Allan Poe, e o obscuramente encantador "Grimm Tales" traz os pesadelos da infância dos irmãos Grimm para a vida. "Blackthorn Asylum" explora os horrores de um sanatório abandonado do século 19 com uma história original que se expande em cima de Lovecraft "From Beyond".As capas sao muito bem elaboradas,uma autentica obra prima,com a particularidade de os albuns conterem o numero "fetiche" de 21 faixas,com excepçao do album(Blood of Angels)9 faixas
